The month of September is a peculiar month that although we may be feeling like we are moving forward as a result of personal planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) moving faster, we’re still feeling like we are on the cusp of change. This feeling of knowing we’re moving forward but feeling pulled back by something we can’t quite get our finger on is due to the outer planets turning retrograde (Saturn, Neptune and, quite soon, Uranus).
It is a time that we feel like we’re gaining clarification but we’re paradoxically not feeling very clear about anything. If this floating feeling weren’t enough to be coping with this 2025, we’re now officially in the Virgo-Piscis eclipse season – the 3rd eclipse season of 7 on this axis that will end in 2027. Eclipses have everything to do with destiny, fate and purpose and are the wildcard in astrology when anything can happen.
So, what can you do during these very unpredictable times?
What’s in the stars?
This Full Moon Eclipse will take place on the 7th of September at 20.08h CET. It will be a Blood Moon as it’ll be a total eclipse, making the moon turn a whimsical red colour as the Moon will position itself right between the Earth and the Sun.
The Moon will be in 15º Pisces and opposing the Sun in 15º Virgo, both in conjunction with the North Node at 18º Pisces and the South Node at 18º Virgo.
Influencing this Full Moon Eclipse in Pisces will be Mercury in 10º Virgo in conjunction with the Sun and opposing the Moon. Moreover, it’ll also be influenced by Jupiter in 19º Cancer which will be trining with the Moon and Sextiling with the Sun.

What’s the vibe?
Eclipses

Eclipses are known for being the time in which the universe takes the reins to realign the individual and the collective onto the path of fate, destiny and purpose. In mundane astrology, we understand eclipses to be pivotal moments in history for causing abrupt changes such as royal births and deaths as well as major political turning points.
When it comes to evolutionary astrology, we understand that eclipses are moments that illuminate a 1.5 year cycle to realign ourselves with different aspects of our lives. Depending on which houses the eclipses fall in our chart, we find ourselves in moments of unprecedented change that mark new beginnings for some and endings for others.
The Virgo-Pisces Axis
Bearing in mind that eclipses are all about true alignment, this Full Moon Eclipse in Pisces highlights the necessary integration between Virgo’s pragmatism and Pisces’ transcendence. It is a call to balance out the grounded, analytical discernment of Virgo and the magic, mystery and creativity of Pisces that can make us all feel unanchored in our physical reality.
As eclipses are catalysts of change, this Full Moon in Pisces is a portal to dissolve our illusions, strip ourselves away from false dreams as well as indulge ourselves in deep, profound emotional healing. It is important to note that eclipses are times of uncertainty and abrupt events that may make us feel like time is distorted, so it is important to remind ourselves that not everything needs to be solved and analysed now (as a true Virgo would incite us to do), but rather enter in the Piscean-Empress energy of letting go of the illusion of control and embracing that all things unfold in their own time and pace.

Mercury & Jupiter
It is interesting that Mercury is in one of its domicile signs (both Virgo and Gemini are reigned by Mercury) during this eclipse, which will certainly influence this Full Moon Eclipse to give us a more refined eye to be more effective and analytical in our communication skills (be it expressing ourselves, understanding others or processing information) to not jump into situations or commitments that aren’t aligned with our purpose.
Moreover, with Jupiter, planet of expansion, optimism and wisdom, in Cancer aspecting favourably in this Full Moon Eclipse, our sensitivity is heightened and our empathy is more prominent. It also may bring up awareness or expansion in our home life or/and relationships.
So…?
As eclipses have a lot to do with our destiny, fate and purpose, it is essential that we pay attention to whatever happens not only during this Full Moon Eclipse in Pisces but also the following four weeks.
It is an Full Moon Eclipse that asks us to be analytical and pragmatic in our decisions but also to embrace a profound emotional and intuitive awareness on everything that is occuring during this time, understanding these feelings as portals to a deeper understanding of our identity, our relationships and even our concept of legacy, the latter being a major factor in eclipses.

Suggestions for this Full Moon in Pisces
1. Reflect on past eclipses & lock in
The best thing we can do during eclipse seasons is reflect upon what narrative is connecting each eclipse on a certain zodiacal axis, in this case the Virgo-Pisces axis. As mentioned above, this is the third eclipse season out of 7 that will last until 2027.
The last two lunations in Pisces during these eclipse seasons took place on the 18th of September 2024 and on March 14th 2025. Give yourself a moment to reflect on what was happening the days prior, during and after these dates (go through your texts, go through your camera roll…) – are there any recurring themes that link these dates and this Full Moon Eclipse in Pisces up?
AND RIGHT NOW… What’s exciting you or disencouraging you? Who’s involved in your life during this time? What do you want and what has you fired up?
BONUS POINTS: dive even DEEPER and look into the dates of the last eclipse season on this Virgo-Pisces axis that occurred during 2015 and 2017. Here are the dates of these eclipse lunations:
March 20th 2015
September 12th 2015
March 8th 2015
September 1st 2016
September 16th 2016
February 26th 2017
2. Pay Attention & Be Present

As eclipses have everything to do with fate, destiny and karma, I find it absolutely ESSENTIAL to be in the here and now during these times.
It’s when we notice the synchronicities, the little doors that are opening as well as the unexpected endings that give us the clarity and the awareness of the narrative that is unfolding. Being present and sitting with everything that arises not only this Full Moon in Pisces but also during the next four weeks will give us the insight for in which parts of our life we should expect unexpected changes to occur over the next eclipse seasons.
3. No manifesting, no spellwork.
As eclipses are the times when the universe takes the reins and we usually expect the unexpected, I highly recommend not doing any manifesting rituals. Avoid setting intentions, leaving your crystals to charge in the moon light, no moon water and for you witchier people, no spells. Eclipse energy is so unpredictable, it is almost like “spiritual hygiene” to not do any profound spiritual practices during eclipses – again, we’re allowing the universe to take control. Get into your Empress energy.
What can I do, then?
As this eclipse season is on the Virgo-Pisces axis, a fantastic activity that can get us into the ethereal energies of Pisces but also the groundedness of Virgo is meditating or indulging in a moment of creative play – be it painting, drawing, dancing… Anything that brings you to the present moment, has you grounded but also makes you feel like you’re in a flow state… Go for it!
