We end Aries season with another New Moon. Although it is a brief New Moon in 29º of Aries (and is only exact for little more than 10 minutes), it is a New Moon that highlights what we should expect for eclipse season, which is gradually moving from the intense Taurus-Scorpio axis to the Aries-Libra axis.
The Beginning of A New Eclipse Season
Uncertainty, overwhelm and motivation – it’s confusing to think that all three feelings can be felt at the same time, but that is the chaotic and uncertain vibe of eclipse seasons.
Eclipses occur regularly, yet have always been elements of novelty and uncertainty for human kind. In astrology, they are tied to our karma (South Node) and purpose (North Node) and are prone to times of situations arising and departing rapidly.
The Change of Nodes
We are currently going through a significant change as the orbital points of the eclipses (the North node and the South Node) are changing signs – from Taurus and Scorpio to Aries and Libra.
This eclipse season will tone the vibe for mid-April to mid-May with Martial and Plutonian energies, which both intensify instability as well as a desperate need for change and taking action.
What’s in the stars?
This New Moon in Aries will be brief, with both Sun and Moon conjunct in the anaretic degree of Aries.
An anaretic degree is when we find ourselves in the last degree of a sign (29º). In a natal chart, it demonstrates the end of a cycle or perhaps the mastery of that sign.

Having said this, this New Moon is very different to the one at the beginning of the month which was in 0º of Aries, the degree of newness with a heightened awareness to gain insights for new projects and initiatives.
This particular New Moon in Aries is squaring Pluto in 0º Aquarius. Pluto, the planet of transformation, rebirth and renewal, is also in the significant degree of 0º. Square aspects offer us a challenge to take action, at times impulsively. Pluto itself is an intense planet that offers long lasting changes and Aquarius is all about innovation, technology and progress.
Therefore, it would not be surprising if we find ourselves tasting this explosive new perspective that will be unravelling itself not only over the next few years with the Aries-Libra eclipse season, but also for the whole duration of Pluto in Aquarius (which will last until 2043).

What’s the vibe?
This New Moon in Aries definitely brings us a feeling of newness immersing itself in our lives. Perhaps it has been something we have all been longing for yet, like all new things, we are startled by not knowing what to expect.
However, this discomfort is an opportunity for miraculous growth and new experiences. We have been pushed into a new era of our lives and we simply have to accept whatever is coming our way and face it head on – like the warrior that Aries is.
Suggestions for this New Moon
As eclipse season has a lot to do with our destiny (North Node) and our karmic ties (South Node), it is a time when the universe takes charge in a much more profound and, at times, chaotic way.
As the energy is so unpredictable and unexpected things arise rapidly without us truly knowing their why, it is essential to lay back and observe.
Here are a few things that you can do to do just that.
1. Avoid Manifesting
As eclipses are an abnormal orbit influencing the Sun, Moon and Earth, the energies in itself are abnormal and unpredictable.
That’s why it is essential to put your manifesting practices on hold, to allow the universe to take the reins and to simply observe whatever arises this new moon that marks the beginning of this eclipse season.
2. Meditate & Journal

Although this New Moon is unlike other New Moons as it is best not to be used for manifestation, it is a great opportunity to indulge in self-reflection.
Whether you want to write down everything that is going through your mind or the feelings that are arising this New Moon in Aries to bring clarity or refuge from your thoughts to stillness and contemplation through meditation, anything is valid as long as you are simply reflecting and contemplating without judging nor taking action.
3. Deepen Your Eclipse Introspection
For those of you who are wanting to dive deeper into this energetic New Moon, it is a great time to reflect on the patterns that have been arising over the past two years by comparing them to the Taurus-Scorpio eclipse seasons (which began in November 2021) and perhaps anticipate whatever may arise this eclipse season by reflecting on the past Aries-Libra eclipse season.
Reflect on the following dates, uncover what narratives happened during these times and compare it to the last eclipse seasons to deepen your insight on what you might have learnt and what is to be learned.
