What’s brewing?
So, as we’ve been feeling a slow moving energy, even though Mars is in fast-thinking Gemini – which will soon be in retrograde until early 2023 – it’s important to note that this sluggish progress is encouraging us to react impulsively.
However, we should resist that urge and redirect our energy to acknowledging that things are in movement, but unraveling very slowly in our eyes.
The depths of feeling
The New Moon this Tuesday will be in 2 Scoprio and will be in conjunction with the Sun and Venus, meaning that they are also in 2 Scorpio. They all form a quincunx, an angle of 150, with Jupiter in 012′ Aries.
With the Moon ruling our emotions and Scorpio being the deepest emotional sign, we’re diving deep back into our feelings.
On Scorpio
Scoprio is a sign known for its intensity, depth of feeling and mysteriousness. It is ruled by Mars and Pluto, making it a sign rich in fiery, piercing energy along with its birth-death-rebirth nature of transformation.
On Venus
Venus is the planet of love, values, beauty and relationships. being in 2 Scoprio this New Moon, we’re bound to be indulging in the depths of feeling and getting to the core of who we are, where our moral compass lies and what brings us unspeakable joy in this world.

On Jupiter
Jupiter is the planet of luck, expansion, abundance and wisdom. It is currently residing in Aries, which is also ruled by aggressive, passionate Mars like Scorpio. The Jupiter in Aries energy encompasses a great need for an individualistic view to encourage self-confidence to live up to our fullest potential. On the downside, however, it can have a tendency to self-righteousness that eclipses over other people’s needs and capabilities.
Rituals for this New Moon
As Eclipse Season has a lot to do with our past lives and karmic debts (South Node) and our purpose (North Node), it’s important not to meddle in the universe’s actions.
As a spiritual practictioner, its important to abstain from magick and manifesting practices to let the unvierse take the rains as destiny determines what is to unravel during this astrological period.
However, here are a few suggestions of what to do during this New Moon and Eclipse season:
1. Meditate
During this time, its essential to strengthen your meditation practice. At a time in which things are unfolding and may feel a bit chaotic and intense, it is essential to strengthen our observation skills.
Through our meditation practice, we will control our impulsiveness and learn to deal with obstacles and situations with more awareness. It’s a simple exercise that can be life-changing to help us discipline ourselves to stop, think and act.
2. Observe
If you’re not really into meditation, try actively observing what’s going on in your life during this period. What situations are emerging around this New Moon? What memories and themes are apparent in conversations, with yourself and with others?
When we allow ourselves to observe, we acknowledge the patterns that are unfolding in our lives.
Eclipses are all about destiny and karmic ties, so whatever is emerging during this time deserves our full attention. When we listen, we hear the universe’s calling.
3. The New Moon & You
Lastly, I recommend looking into your birth chart to see how this new moon personally affects you.
What house is it transiting? Do you have any planets in Scorpio? How has this transit manifested in your daily life lately?
